Municipal technology and services are divided into four units: property, streets and parks, water and sewage, and food. We manage the municipality's land and facilities, clean municipal premises, maintain streets and roads, pedestrian and bicycle paths, parks, playgrounds, forests, waste management, and utility networks. We produce drinking water and treat wastewater. Within the food unit, we prepare meals for schools, preschools, elderly care, and home care.

Description

We are looking for a conservation worker for the maintenance of green spaces and urban-adjacent forests in Forshaga Municipality.

We are looking for someone who is independent, meticulous, and has good collaboration skills. You need to be responsible and have a safety mindset when handling machines and tools. Physical endurance and good fitness are advantages for thriving in this role.

Job Responsibilities

The work will involve the use of lawn mowers, chainsaws, brush cutters, trimmers, and other common machines such as tractors, chippers, and shredders. The management plans daily tasks, and you as a conservation worker will carry out the work according to instructions. The main tasks during the season are to mow grass, clear, and trim municipal green spaces, as well as maintain urban-adjacent forests.

The work involves physical tasks and requires good physical condition. You will work outdoors in various weather conditions and handle equipment that requires great care and attention. The working methods are established, but you have some freedom to determine how the work should be performed within given frameworks.

Qualifications

• Basic education, previous experience in outdoor work/green space maintenance.
• Driving license B.
• Experience working with brush cutters and trimmers.
• Licenses for motor and brush saws are advantageous.

We prefer candidates with previous experience in similar work and an interest in conservation and outdoor environment maintenance.

Conditions

Seasonal employment, 100% during the period from May 25 to October 31.
